
From anime to birds. For this TidyTuesday, we explored a dataset about bird-window collisions in the greater Chicago area, from 1978 to 2016 (if you need a reference). I chose to look at the data regarding a single locality, McCormick Place. It was at least a good chance to use geom_violin() for the first time.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Use of geom_violin();
- A basic understanding of left join (:));
- Use of annotate(). Side note: it may seem quite counterintuitive, but it is not.
ISSUES
- Understanding how to handle joins (solved)…;
- x values as annotate’s arguments (when x is a factor variable!).
