During last TidyTuesday, I had the chance to explore some interesting data about Chicago bird-window collisions. This week, we had a dataset about global student-teacher ratios. I have to say I changed my mind more and more times. At the end of the day, my plot is about the ratios’ change over time in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain and I got a pair of insights. For example, Greece seems to have an overcrowding problem in tertiary education, at least more than the other three countries. Furthermore, while the higher ratios in Greece and Italy concern the tertiary education, Portugal and Spain show higher values in the pre-primary level.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Use of extrafont (I did it!);
- Use of facet_wrap (next time, I do want to use patchwork!);
- Use of %in% operator;
- Learned something about spacing in ggplot2.
ISSUES
- This is more about analysis skills: how to think about an informative data visualization when the dataset hasn’t got a large number of variables?
